In my opinion of this cover page, I like the running house style of this magazine, as the colours go well together and make the page look more attractive. I also like the Text as it is capitalised and bold, it also makes it clearer and it is also next to the page number and makes this easier to navigate the page and whole Magazine. My final opinion is the layout, it is simplistic and makes the page easy to navigate as it isn't all bunched together or randomised.

Contents Page Conventions:
It always has the title 'Contents', the title is always at the top of the page, next to the masthead of the magazine. This reinforces the brand of the magazine, so that the audience knows this is the magazine they are looking at. The masthead will also be next to the page number at the bottom of the page. There are subheadings for the contents of the magazine, these are; features, which show what are in the magazine. It has a cover story, which is the main story that took up the cover page, Regulars, which are the normal features that are in the magazine and news which are the general news featured in the magazine.
There will always be the page numbers on this page, which works like an index, but is as the front for the magazine. This helps you navigate the magazine easier. The numbers are always ascending in order (1,2,3 etc.).
There are always images on the content pages, which make the page look more attractive, but it also anchors with the text, so you can associate the image and story together.
There is information featured in the contents page, such as social media names, emails and phone numbers.
There is also the Editor's section, this is the editor talking about what is in the magazine, and it also has the signature, as a sign of approval.
There will always be colour in this page, these match the house style of the magazine. This is to reinforce the brand as you'll associate the colours of the house style with the brand.
Columns are a main feature and are used to separate the text, which make the page look organised.
InDesign:
Setting up the Adobe InDesign document:
We needed to set up the document this as it is important, we did it so it fits the conventions of a magazine, such as the page size, the size we chose were the typical size for the magazine (12 x 29.7cm). We then changed how many columns the content page has to the typical amount again (4). Finally, we set the margins so that anything inside the page doesn't get cut out of the page by accident.
