LO3: Setting up InDesign

Content Page:

These are the settings I used for the InDesign project for my content page, this will be different to my double page spreads because it won't have as many columns as the content page. The settings are based on a successful magazine i.e. Exposed.

This margin is for how low the title to the content page is based on the conventions of a successful magazine i.e. Exposed

This margin is placed down for the text that will go vertical on the content page.

I put one vertical and one horizontal margin so that it is easier to place the image in and its caption box.

Next margin was for the height at which the page number and the magazines website, as also shown in Exposed magazines pages.

The margin above the page number margin is being used for update contact information banner that goes across the whole page.

Put a margin at the top of the page so that the masthead is in the right place and not going to out upwards or below.

I put a margin vertically on the page 1cm in so that the masthead doesn't go too out of the sides.

Double Page Spread:

These are the settings I used for the InDesign document for my double page spread, this is different to my content page because it will have two pages and have more columns than the content page. The settings are based on a successful magazine i.e. Exposed.
